IntWork is Hiring a Construction Materials Testing Technician Near Boston, MA

Would you like to work onsite at some of the most iconic buildings in New England to keep them safe? Are you certified by the ACI (American Concrete Institute) or would you like to be? If any of the above apply to you, this Construction Materials Testing Technician position may be for you.
What we're looking for:

  • Hard worker with solid knowledge of the principles and terminology in the Construction Inspection Industry.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs., walk/work on uneven surfaces, work outside in various weather conditions and from heights..
  • Ability to read plans and specifications, record data, and keep detailed field notes.
  • Good organization skills, the ability to focus on details, and the ability to follow directions, both written and oral.
  • Punctual and reliable team player who works well with others.
  • Clean record with CORI and other background checks.
  • High School degree or (preferred) Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or associated discipline.
What we hope you might also bring (preferred skills):
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Grade 1 certification (if certified, pay rate is $25-$30/hr)
  • Other related Construction Materials certifications such as AWS Certified Welding Special Inspector and ICC Fireproofing Inspector
  • Prior work experience in the Construction Inspection Industry (with references)
  • OSHA-10
Hours and Compensation:
  • M-F Days with Overtime potential
  • Occasional weekend availability, if necessary; must be able to accommodate flexible work hours when necessary.
  • $20-30/Hr depending on experience. ($25-$30/hr if ACI certified)
  • Full benefits package with 2 weeks vacation and 40 hours of sick leave.
